WHO WE ARE

 

Clarence Simpson established Simpson Commercial Realty in San Antonio Texas in 2002.

Simpson has more than 40 years of experience in the commercial and corporate real estate industry -- 30 of those years as a regional or national director with major national and regional restaurant companies. Some of those corporations include: Brinker International, Rally's Hamburgers, Foodmaker Inc., Golden Corral Corp., National Convenience Stores, Banditree Inc., and Church's Fried Chicken.

In Texas, Simpson is exclusive broker for Pei Wei Asian Diner, California Pizza Kitchen, Denny's Restaurants, ZEA Rotisserie Grill, Applebee's International, El Pollo Loco Mexican Grilled Chicken, and the Fransmart family of restaurant concepts in selected markets. He and his associates represent a total of nine restaurant chains and a national developer of Marriott & Hilton hotels.

Simpson has served as:

  •        President of the San Antonio Chapter of NACORE (National Association of Corporate Real Estate executives)
  •        Founding President of the San Diego Chapter of NACORE
  •        National Director of Real Estate for Church's Fried Chicken
  •        Vice President of Development for Banditree, Inc. Jupiter FL (a Po' Folks Restaurant franchise owned by Burt Reynolds)
  •        Vice President of Real Estate/Development for Golden Corral Corp. (Raleigh, N.C.)
  •        National Director of Real Estate for Jack in the Box
  •        National Director of Real Estate for On the Border Cafes
  •        National Director of Real Estate for Romano's Macaroni Grill / Brinker
  •        Vice President of Real Estate and Strategic Development for Romano's Macaroni Grill / Brinker

Clarence has been an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) since 1975. He served on the San Antonio Advisory Board of The Nature Conservancy of Texas for seven years.

He has conducted lectures on restaurant site selection, "Finding the Right Spot!" to incoming classes at the Culinary Institute of America, Center for foods of the Americas (CIA/CFA) in San Antonio.

In Texas, Clarence is exclusive broker for Pei Wei Asian Diner, California Pizza Kitchen, Applebee's International,  Denny's Restaurants, and the Fransmart family of restaurant concepts in selected markets, among other non-competing retairlers and national restaurant chains. He and his associates represent a total of nine restaurant chains and a national developer of Marriott & Hilton hotels. He also currently represents several high-profile, independent, chef-owned restaurants.

 

Kay Simpson is marketing manager for Simpson Commercial Realty.

Her communications and marketing experience includes eight years with the San Antonio Express-News, five years with Methodist Hospital, two years at Nancy Scott Jones & Associates Public Relations. She also operated her own marketing and communications company in San Antonio.

Kay earned her MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University, and her bachelor of arts degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio. She also is a licensed Texas Real Estate salesman.

She is a member of SA 100, the San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning.
